Can APSA assist employers?

In property services sector, the majority of employers and their employees prefer that employment arrangements be very flexible, especially in matters related to:

  • remuneration wholly or in part by commission, bonus or incentive payments
  • hours of work
  • allowances.

Employers who would like help in establishing written agreements may contact APSA, which will then:

  • provide information about where to obtain agreements; or
  • arrange for employers to meet with a field officer (in the states where such a service is available).

For employment agreements, many property sector employers use the services of REPS Australia (www.repsa.com.au), an online agreement-building service.

Please Note:

APSA is not able to assist employers in matters to do with:

  • the employment of clerical personnel
  • termination of employment.

Employers who need help with such issues should contact the relevant real estate employers' association.
